Imagine soft greens, cream, and touches of blush and pinks coming together to create a stunning natural look for this sweet couple’s special day. From the chandeliers to the centerpieces, every detail was thoughtfully decorated. When we first met our bride, Sidney, she was handing us her wedding weekend agenda. We got the impression that she was a strong and organized leader who knew what she wanted and would have fun doing it! Josh appeared a little more laid-back as he adoringly watched his bride bring their wedding day dreams to life. By the end of the weekend, we were ready to be adopted by their families!
Sidney and Josh met nine years ago and from there, their love grew. In Josh’s own words, “Can’t believe our journey started out as 21-year-old kids talking about quitting our jobs to travel the world, to these present days talking about children and a big family to come in the following years.” Today, you can find Sidney teaching preschoolers, a vocation she is absolutely perfect for; and Josh can be found putting out fires and saving lives as a firefighter and paramedic. Don’t worry though, Sidney and Josh will still travel the world as they fly to Jamaica to celebrate their honeymoon.
This sweet couple brought their unique style to their classy wedding day. As we got to know them better, we understood the little touches that meant so much to them. Their love of nature and the outdoors brought so much greenery into their decor and centerpieces. Rather than a guest book to sign, they asked their guests to fill out “Bucket List” cards and drop them into a bucket for date night, travel, and other activities to add to their growing list of accomplishments to check off together. Their wedding favors told a story: homemade strawberry jam made by the bride and her grandma together in Grandma’s kitchen.
The bridesmaids each wore flattering dresses of different colors and styles that suited their personalities, complementing the bride’s beautiful lace gown with stunning beadwork. Their inspiring vows uniquely expressed the profound love they share. They handled every obstacle with a level of patience, grace, and humor that the world (and me!) should aspire to, even when a groomsman split his pants! I wish I had the time to share all the little details that made this wedding special. What I took from this special day is this:
The little personal touches make a BIG impression on your guests! However, if you can spend time relaxing and visiting with each guest…that’s what they really drove 5 hours to do! It’s not how much you spend...it’s the time you spend!
To Sidney and Josh: we absolutely loved getting to be a part of your day and helping all those details come together. You two are going to do amazing things together and we can’t wait to see all the places you go and watch you grow old together with a hoard of children to run after. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Mamanos!
